- Composition (g/l): Pancreatic digest of gelatin 20.0; Magnesium chloride anhydrous 1.4; Potassium sulfate anhydrous 10.0; Agar-agar 12.6.
- Preparation & sterilization: Dissolve 44.0 g in 1 liter of purified water. Heat in boiling water and agitate frequently until completely dissolved. Add 10 ml/l of Glycerol (CAS No. 56-81-5, e.g. Cat. No. 104057). - - - Autoclave (15 minutes at 121°C). Pour plates or prepare slant agar tubes.
Application: For the differentiation of Pseudomonas aeruginosa from other Pseudomonas spp. from different materials, on the basis of pyocyanin production.
Storage: Store at +15 °C to +25 °C, dry and tightly closed. Do not use clumped or discolored medium. Protect from UV light (including sun light).
